Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home - Montrose Obituary

Joshua L. Weller, 43, of Montrose, PA, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday May 1, 2022. He was born in Montrose, PA, to Thomas L. and Sherry L. (Bennett) Weller, Montrose, PA.


Also surviving is his maternal grandmother, Florence Bennett, Montrose, PA, two brothers and sister-in-law, T.J. Weller, Millerstown, PA, Andy and Jen Weller, Montrose, PA, sister, Lori Weller, Millerstown, PA, nieces and nephews, Noah and Maddy Weller, Molly and Ben Weller, aunts, uncles and cousins.


Josh graduated from Montrose High School in 1996 where he enjoyed playing football and basketball. He attended Penn State Main Campus and then transferred to Bloomsburg University. He was employed at the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility for twenty years, serving as Deputy Warden for the past fifteen years. Josh loved everything Pearl Jam and attended many of their concerts. He enjoyed playing in a volleyball league for many years. He loved his dog, Roscoe who passed before him. But most importantly, he had a big heart. He was caring, thoughtful, loving, and funny. He was a man of few words, but what he said was always meaningful or witty. 


Visitations will be from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in Josh’s memory can be made to: American Heart Assoc. P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.

I went to school with the 3 youngest Weller kids. I am so heartbroken and saddened at the loss of Josh.

Josh was one of the kindest most laid back person I have ever known, he will be missed. I am so sorry for the Weller families loss.

I am so sorry for the loss of Josh, l worked with him for ten years as a C.O. at SCCF. He was always there when needed. The community had lost a good man. Rest in Peace
