Not sure what to say?

Rest in Peace Joshua (Chip) Brands. My heart goes out to your sisters Kathryn, Christine and the entire family in general. My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you. God Bless!!!

Josh was talented, witty and kind. Working with him on the history of the Abbey of Gethsemani was a joy. I'm so glad I was able to spend time with him this summer on a visit to Nelson County. May he rest in beauty and peace.

Our loved ones who have died leave an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

A good person.

Drew Niesiobedzki

Josh was one of the most talented people I've ever known, and also one of the kindest. His life as I understood him was sometimes one of upheaval and physical challenges, so unkind for a soul so sweet to endure. I miss him terribly. His good humor and the joy he found in beauty will be with me always. Goodbye, dear friend.

Know that prayers will be offered for the repose of Chip's soul. We also express our sympathy to his family. Chip was a good man who now rests in the arms of his Lord. John Poland (SMC '73)

Chip was my brother and my best friend. My family and I are forever grateful for all of his friends in Bardstown who helped us out this past week in miraculous ways.

Chip was a great friend and classmate at Saint Mary's College. I was so happy to reconnect with him a few years ago after so many years. A truly remarkable man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Josh had done such a splendid job on the old records in the basement of the courthouse.
