Not sure what to say?

June 4, 2012
To the family of Sgt. Joshua D. Powell:
Joshua gave the ultimate sacrifice and will be held in the hearts of Americans forever. I cannot and will not let our fallen heroes be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to you. "Some gave all."

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. I served with Powell for a good while when I was in Germany. It's sad to hear that we lost one of our brothers. You'll never be forgotten Bro.
Sgt. Sumka, Bradley (Mililani, HI.)

Please accept my deepest sympathy
for the loss of your loved one and
Hero Joshua, and my sincerest
gratitude for his service. God Bless
you Sgt. Joshua D. Powell... you will
not be forgotten.

I had grown up with Josh. His mom would babysit my brother & me. I remember all of us playing under their big tree in the dirt & playing baseball out in the pasture. Thank you Josh for serving our country & for doing what you did. You will be greatly missed. Praying for all the family! Lots of love & prayers going to the Powell family.

Josh was a god man and a great sgt. He will me missed very much by friends and all the family. It was a great privilege knowing him for as long as we did. My heart goes out to the family. May God be with you all at this time in your life. Lots of love and pray your way.

I never got to meet you in person Josh, but talking to you on the phone when you were in Germany with Andy and Mike and Rob was a good time, you guys always made me laugh when Andy would call. Your a hero to the USA, but especially to your family. To Josh's family: Please except my families deepest condolences, my son Andy was with josh in germany and he was a sweet funny man and was honored to even talk to him over the phone. May God bless your family and not that it will make it easier but...

i will always miss you and remember you and your quirky ways. And the most funniest thing you said. SAMSAI SWORD. MISS YOU ALWAYS AND MAY YOU REST IN PEACE.

Great man. I had the privilege of serving with him overseas. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

It was a pleasure to serve with Sgt. Powell in Germany and Iraq, he was a great soldier and a great friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. "Dirty First"
