Josh,
We (your father and myself) went to the spacial memorial the Marines had for you at the chapel on the base. It was so beautiful, God has taken you to a higher place .watch over us and keep us safe, We will take care of your Angel Ashley, She holds you in her heart and will never let you go.She was yours forever! Watch over her Josh. Your Dad and I miss you everyday,We love you and our heart breaks . We keep you in our prayers daily.
Love To You Dad & Kay

We know that Josh is fine in the arms of God, but what a deep loss for his family, friends, and the Marines. You are in our thoughts and prayers daily. Sincerely, Marcia and Lee

Josh,
I miss your smile, your laugh, your way of making everything so much better. I was always thinking about you, but now it's every second. Everything reminds me of you. You were the sweetest, most genuine person I've ever met. You wore that uniform with pride and honor. You were what the Marines should have stood for. You're in my thoughts, prayers, and heart. I will never forget you.
You were my best friend, my boyfriend, my first love. I'm sorry there was no happy ending...

Such a senseless act is this, that your families and friends have to try to come to terms with. We have a son serving in the Marines. He is to leave soon, for overseas duty. From reading these entries, there is no doubt your Josh was special. We pray that you find peace in your hearts. We pray that your Josh watches over ours and brings him home safe and sound. Its a small consolation but you should feel proud of what your son and friend undertook, the commitment he made to serve our country...
