To The Hathaway Family
My heart just broke for your family when I called my Liberty University freshman son...and he told me what happened that day.He was on his way to a prayer vigil.Life can be so full of wonderful things, and then there are other events ...things that happen that make no sense, and bring so much pain. I am so sorry.I have been praying for you all, and will continue. May love surround you.

Mr. & Mrs. Hathaway,
I am a student at LU and never even knew Joshua, personally. However, I have seen how the body has been hurt by loosing him; he had made his lasting impact in his short time at Liberty. So many knew and loved his heart for the Lord and passion for life. May you rest at the foot of the Cross of Christ knowing that He is good and He does good. To the Hathaway Family: I didn't know Joshua personally, but I grieved your unfathomable loss when I heard about his death. I have two grandchildren who attend Liberty University, and while they did not know him, I know that his death has greatly affected them. I will continue to pray for your family and hope that in time some answers will come. God Bless you.

The world lost a bright and sweet young man. I worked with Josh and I couldn't think of one bad thing about him. We would talk about the places we've both traveled and our love for them. Everyone loved that he still had a small Spanish accent when asking for "paper or plastic." Josh will be missed by many.
The Hathaway Family and anyone impacted by the loss of Josh are in my prayers.
