On November 29th 2020, Sarasota lost one of its greats! Joshua Raymond Morris, who would have been 36 the day after Christmas, was called home to heaven far to soon. Joshua was known locally by many for his good deeds and his selfless acts of philanthropy. He was never a very wealthy man, but what he did possess, was a heart of gold and a passion for people. Joshua became a Firefighter in his younger years, then following a tragic accident, went on to become one of Sarasota's best realtors. Joshua always had the best intentions for those around him and a desire to help those in need no matter what his situation may have been. His legacy of generosity and love for others will live on through those he touched and his beautiful family. Josh leaves behind a beautiful Wife; Hannah Morris, and 4 wonderful children under the age of 6; Levi, Anya, Bella, and his youngest Samuel. He is also survived by his parents Keith & Cindy Morris, siblings Jodanna & Nigel Osceola, Jacob & Vivian Morris, Jesse & Pleasant Morris, their Grandmother Rhoda Morris, and numerous beloved in-laws, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends whom are all extended family.
There will be a Celebration of Life on December 19th, 2020 at 4:00pm at Bayside Community Church - East Sarasota Campus 8200 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota, FL 34241. Please note if you are feeling unwell, under quarantine, or avoiding crowds & traveling due to Covid we will be livestreaming this event.
