Joshua L. Pender, 38, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 in Fort Madison. He was born on April 22, 1977 in Burlington, IA to Joseph F. & Brenda L. Duncan Pender. He previously worked at Fruehauf in Fort Madison and loved music, animals, fishing, gambling, sports and a good fight. Josh is survived by: his mother: Brenda (S.R. Tomahawk) Parker of Fort Madison, IA; his father: Joseph (Toni) Pender of Wever, IA his step father: Dave Parker of Fort Madison, IA; 5-brothers: Hamilton Parker of Fort Madison, IA, Zach Pender of Portland, OR, Doug Crawford of Estcada, OR, Brian Crawford of Estcada, OR & Jake Parker of Portland, OR; 1-sister: Vicki Blevens of Portland, OR, his maternal grandfather: Melvin Duncan of Stronghurst, IL. and his fiance, Angie McBride of Ft. Madison and several hundred cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, maternal grandmother and a sister, Challis in infancy. Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with the memorial service to immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. all on Friday, April 1, 2016 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dan Buck officiating. Burial will be held at Stronghurst Cemetery in Stronghurst, IL. A memorial has been established in Josh's name.
