Josie Padgett Graves

Ms. Josie Graves was a legend. I drove down from NY just to take her class, and I was not disappointed. She was a spitfire and I could (and did) spend hours listening to her stories. She took me under her wing and inspired me, not just as an auctioneer, but as a human being. They just don't make 'em like that any more. "When I'm talkin', your not!" Gotta love such a spirited lady! I will truly miss you....

My deepest condolences to the Graves family and friends. I got to know Josie when growing up at Sleepy Creek. She always greeted me with a huge smile and usually, a 5th Avenue candy bar. So many fond memories of her, Hawes and the Graves family. Very grateful that I got to spend some time catching up with her on the phone this summer. Much love to you all from the Lee family.
