KOVALCSIK, Josif - Of Burton, age 63, died Friday, February 10, 2006 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral service will be held at 12PM Monday, February 13, 2006 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Roy Horning officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation 2-9PM Sunday at the funeral home. A Vigil Service will be held at 7PM Sunday at the funeral home. Josif was born in Romania on September 7, 1942, the son of the late Mike and Rose Kovalcsik and was a resident of Burton for 22 years. Josif was a deeply loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a very hard working and dedicated employee of Al Serra for 20 years. Surviving are wife of 40 years, Maria; 2 children, Joe and wife Erika of Swartz Creek, Monica and husband Anil Mulki of Grand Blanc; grandson, Gabriel; brother, Jim and wife Mary of Romania; mother-in-law, Mary Reico of Flint; brother-in-law, Frank and wife Erika Reico of Swartz Creek; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rose Beke; father-in-law, Frank Reico; brother-in-law, Laci Beke and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Jurca. Josif will be missed and forever remembered.
