Joy Bannister

Dear friend Joy, you are often in my thoughts and always in my heart.

I'm so sad to have heard belatedly of Joy's passing. She and Sky became such good friends to me during the restoration of the Laughton church altar-piece and we enjoyed many a giggle together. She is very sadly missed.

Joy and I along with Mrs Joy Galley worked as stable managers at Weston Park for many happy years...I christened them the "joyfuls" and indeed this is what they were...I will miss my weekly phone calls from Joy, we put the world to rights for many minutes, until invariably she was interrupted by someone from the many organisations she was part of, be it wild life, women's institute or the church... Sleep well Joy I will miss you, but give the lovely Graham a huge hug...
