Not sure what to say?

It was always a pleasure to run into Mrs. Beaver whenever I was at St. Francis. Her positive, love of life, attitude lifted everyone who came in contact with her -- displayed most abundantly in the wonderful children she raised. May God Bless you Mrs. Beaver, and may he comfort your loved ones during this difficult time.

Our condolences to the family of Mrs. Beaver. Mrs. Beaver, (she wanted us to call her Joy) was our next door neighbor on Glenmar Avenue from 1990 - 1998. We moved in 1998 and loved our new home but truly missed our neighbors, especially Joy's "down to earth" personality. She told us numerous stories about her life, and we admired and respected all of her accomplishments. I guess we never could call her Joy because we had so much respect for her and her amazing life. May God bless Joy...

Debra, George and Jan, I remember all the stories Joy shared with me as you were growing up! You were all her joy and a part of her discussions on the job daily. She was such a delight to work with at EA Conway in the Family Planning Clinic. She was always so positive and loved by all of us. May you find peace in knowing that she was loved by us all and will certainly be missed! There will never be another Joy Beaver!

I would like to offer my condolences to the family and friends of ms beaver . I always will remember her kind words . my last memory of her was pushing her back from chapel services this prior sunday and she thanked me for being kind to her . to me it was an honor . May God grant you his grace at the time of your loss. much respect . Chaplain Daniel Thomas

Ms. Beaver was my mentor as a new nurse in the OR at St. Francis. She was always upbeat, funny, and made going to work every day a pleasure! I enjoyed her antics--which were many---and she always had an ear for listening. She was a great lady and friend to me for many years. She has touched many lives over the years and we are all the better for having known her.
My condolences to her family and friends on their loss.

I had the privilege and honor of Mrs. Beaver being one of my first preceptors in the Operating Room back in 1989. I will be forever grateful for the lessons she taught me as a young OR nurse. They don't make OR nurses like Mrs. Beaver anymore!

Women Veterans of Louisiana is saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs. Beaver. She is one of the selfless ladies who stepped forward during a time of great need and joined the US Navy as a Nurse. She gave comfort to our WWII sailors and soldiers helping to heal the wounds of body and spirit. We thank her for the sacrifices of both she and her family .

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Presented in Memory Of
Joy Leora...

What a wonderful lady. Mrs. Beaver was always herself. A "What you see is what you get" type person. Not one phony bone in her body. There are some people you never forget and she is one of those for me. My love and sympathy to her family.

On behalf of Louisiana Women Veterans, we would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Ms. Joy Leora Hanson Beaver, U.S. Navy veteran.
We salute her and honor her military service with this poem:

She is a woman veteran
Whose service was true
She proudly served
The Red, White and Blue

She gave a part of her life
So others could be free
And without any hesitation
She joined unselfishly

She did her job well
With Honor and...
