Not sure what to say?

Joy's name defined her personality....a wide smile and laugh at all times. Our friendship started as workmates at Talbots and carried over into our retirements.
It was my privilege to know her. I will miss her.

On behalf of her classmates and friends at Bates College we express our deepest feelings to Joy's family and friends upon hearing of her death. Joy was a beloved student and an inspiration to many of us who knew her.

My Mother. Eileen Ferguson worked with Joy at Talbots. Joy, Marge, Sheila and Eileen were like high school girls when they spent time together, they had fun. Joy was so kind to me during my Mother's illness and comforted me when she passed. I will think of Joy with a smile and pray for peace in your hearts. With sincere sympathy, Elizabeth Ferguson Deane

I met Joy many years ago while shopping at Talbots. She was such a wonderful person. We shared so many stories about life, love and even heartaches. I was touched deeply when my mom passed several years ago and received a sympathy card from her. The message she wrote was so heartfelt. I still have that card. Such an amazing woman!
