Joy is often on my mind, as her Art rests in several rooms of our home...she is missed but her gentle, peaceful, kind and artistic ways permeate our fond memories with joy

The magical photo of Joy on the Bushnell Park Carousel was found and I wanted to share the joy...with love and condolences to all of her family and friends. What a blessing she was and always will be. May you feel the peace that radiated from her loving heart.

Joy's friendship was a blessing in our lives. Her appreciation of the goodness life brought her was humbling. Her generosity of time and talent in our community enriched our days. We are so grateful for the legacy of work she left behind. We send love to each member of Joy's family.

I met Joy at the former and fabulous Artworks Gallery in Hartford where we shared membership for many years. She and Roger were two of the most wonderful human beings in the world. Joy always spoke about her lovely family.
Joy’s kindness, gentle spirit, graciousness and creative heART made everyone feel peace and joy. How she gave new artistic life to old and found materials was magical and masterful. Her work graces our home in several rooms and the collage that my husband purchased...

I met Joy and Roger back in 2007 when the moved into Seabury (the same year my parents moved into Seabury.) The two couples discovered they had all sorts of things in common, most especially a deep commitment to peace and justice, and became fast friends. When my dad died in 2011, Roger was the person who was sitting at his bedside reading Scripture and singing hymns. Roger let us know that it was time to gather to say our final goodbyes.
