Not sure what to say?

I just learned this week of the passing of another educator, Maryan Jistel. We had chatted and reminisced about other teachers my son, Christopher, had over the years. She told me about the passing of Joy Koehl. Chris had been in Joy's class at The Village School, when it was in Town and Country. I doubt that any child ever had any feelings less than pure adoration for this truly delightful, Joy Koehl. I recall his coming home, soo excited as he had learned how to "write his name"!! ...

Shocked and very saddened by the loss of a dear friend. Whomever shall I find again who shared my sense of humor? To her children and other close friends, I send my deepest condolences.

I miss you Joy.

So saddened by Joy`s passing...condolences to all her family

My heart goes out to Robert, Kristen and Andy. There are such good memories of those early days on Inwood Drive. Dawn, Page and Layne join me in sending our sincere condolences.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of my friend and supervisor. I have known Mrs. Koehl for over 12 years and she has always been nothing but kind and loving towards me. She was one of those people that was straight and direct when she spoke. She has never made me feel nothing less than a friend to her, and for that I'm grateful. I will love and miss her, but I will also have my memories of her in my heart and mind forever. So long my Friend until we meet again. Love Doris.

Mrs. Koehl was a person who beautifully balanced a serious attititude toward her job as an educator/administrator while maintaining a light-heartedness as a person. Mrs. Koehl demonstrated a fierce devotion to her children and each child at The Village School who was priviledged to know her. Her positive impact and legacy shall not diminish.

our condolences to Koehl family .she'll be missed by all who knew her.
