Joy F. LICHTEN

Although I haven't had the priviledge of seeing Joy since she retired, I will always remember the pride in which she did her work. She was a friend and colleague to all of us. The culture and climate of Guggenheim Elementary School eminated from her heart. I will always remember the chats we had in her office...the school's safe! I have to believe that Joy will always be with us and with Bob and their children. She was an exceptionally special woman!

As you mourn the passing of your beloved Joy, may Gods loving kindness and comforting expressions recorded at Psalms 119:50,76 comfort the family and friends at this difficult time.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Joy's passing. She was my confidant and loyal secretary during my years at Guggenheim Elementary School. Joy was always there for me with that wonderful smile and sound advice. Words cannot express my gratitude to her for all her help, not only to me, but to the entire school community. Condolences to Bob and the entire family.

It was with great sorrow that I heard of Joy's passing. She was a woman of great strength and courage. Her years as Guggenheim's principal secretary were the golden years. She touched all our lives in positive and loving ways. I will miss meeting up with her for lunch in Montauk.
