Not sure what to say?

I worked with Joy for 11years at Calumet High. She was a gifted teacher and respected by both faculty and students. I deeply regret losing touch with Joy. I did attend her wedding to Claude C Maddox. They were so obviously meant to be together. I was privileged to be her matron of honor at the ceremony. Joy, Claude, my late husband Jim, and I shared many good times together, including Christmas Eve gift exchanges. I saw the obituary when the Retired Teachers Association of Chicago...

Joy was a very close (in fact, I believe best) friend of my departed mother-in-law, Louise (Sue) Bidle. She continued to be a friend of my later departed father-in-law, Richard Bidle. She was a kind, caring and thoughtful person who was loved deeply by both. Deepest condolences from me and my husband, Jim.

Rest in Peace Joy.

Rest in Peace Joy.

My very deepest sympathy to Joy's family. She was my very best friend all thru high school. She and Claude visited us a couple of times after they were married, and as life happens......we lost touch. I've thought of her often over the years and tried finding her. Very sad about her passing. May she rest in peace.
