JOY MEYER

I studied 6 months of piano lessons with Mrs. Meyer (as did one of our daughters), after my return from Iraq in 2004. It was a life changing period for me. For her to inspire me to learn music so much later in life...I thank her for that. I still have the notebook from classes in her home.

What a wonderful woman to know and she had a special patient way of teaching younger children to play piano. My oldest daughter, Jody, started at age 4 with her and they played a duet together at a recital. There was a mistake part of the way into it and they had to restart it again with huge success through to the end! But not before Joy announced that it was her that made the mistake, not Jody.
