She was a year behind me at Stratford High School in Houston. Her sister Melody was my friend and classmate.

Joy was such a truly an exceptional person. I feel blessed to have her consider me a friend. She will be profoundly missed by many.

I never had the chance to meet Joy but as a fellow A&M graduate and resident of the Central Coast, I had to say "Here". Sounds like she lived an incredible life full of integrity, quick wit and global adventures. Praying for peace and comfort for her family.

Joy, THANK YOU for NEVER becoming a clammy protocol droid chasing "face time" for metrics and brownie points, even though your career path might´ve been much easier! Thank you for being sincere, fun to work with, and showing us all what a genuine leader looks like - someone who speaks truth to power.
