Not sure what to say?

I only just learnt of the passing of Joy and Malcolm. I did not know them well, though Malcolm and I always hoped we had distant family connections. However on the few occasions we met at conferences, in Perth and in York (UK) I enjoyed their company, their generosity and great sense of fun. My condolences to all the other Sparrows in their family whom I never met and the two young ones, whose names I don't remember, who were so happy staying with their grandparents when I visited them in...

Joy with son Phil Sparrow and Sally at Alexander's christening, March 2008

Warmest love to all the family, losing their mum and mother in law and of course, grandmother. all our love, heather and peter kell

It is with great saddness that we read of Joy's passing. Her kindness and her passion for food was an inspiration to all of her students and we were privileged to have experienced her continuing friendship.
