JOY LEE SPIES

Spies and family....so sorry to hear of the passing of Joy....she was a special person. many great memories of days on the beach....

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His faithful servants." - Psalm 116:15. I know Joy is now rejoicing with her Heavenly Father. I am glad to have known her.

Anytime I think of someone with a BIG heart I always think of Joy Spies. I've known Joy my entire life. She was a friend of my mother since middle school. Joy was a kid at heart. For example, anytime we were camping on the beach at Doheny State Beach she always told us kids don't get lost because that will ruin my day at the beach getting a sun tan. Joy's home was open to everyone and there were no strangers in her home..they were instantly friends as soon as they walked through the front...

I first met Joy as a church secretary when she was the wedding coordinator. I remember her as being kind, decisive, straightforward and fiesty. She has always been one of the first ones to step up in offering help for anything that was needed. She has bailed me out many a time and I loved her for it. The huge hole in our hearts that is left by her absence will take a long time to heal. We miss you, Joy. God's richest blessings and comfort to your family.
