Joy was one of the most amazing souls i have ever had the pleasure of getting to know. She joined the poetry club i started in high school and she continued to remain passionate about poetry long after i graduated. Her talent was mind blowing. Her passion and strength spoke miles beyond her years. No one can compare. My sincere and deep condolences to Joy's family.

Dear Jennifer and Marco - Out deepest sympathy to you as you lost one third of your life - all that you protected with the fierceness you could muster. While Joy's name will be her legacy, your other two thirds will be your Faith and Hope that will together strengthen you to never forget one detail of your Joy.
