Joyanna Geisler

Joyanna was my best friend in high school. We lost touch afterward high school but she did come to a class reunion and we had a great visit. She was intelligent, caring, and I'll always have a special place in my heart for her. She leaves a void to all who knew her and she will be missed.

Though I departed the Peninsula ten years ago, Joyanna's name jumped out at me among today's obituaries. As a social worker who spent many years working on the Peninsula, I had occasion to interact with Joyanna several times, and she was also a great help for my clients with various disabilities. She seemed to be the heart and soul of the ILC, and I know the social service community will miss her contributions dearly. Thank you for a life well spent, helping others, Joyanna.
