Read MoreJoyce and I would see each other occasionally as children because our parents were in the same social group. Then later in life we met again when her mother and my father married. I appreciated that she took the bull by the horns as they aged (no easy feat with my father) to get them into a comfortable apartment in Dock Meadows. She definitely was a strong leader and a generous friend.

Joyce was my apartment mate at Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing. There were 10 of us in our apartment and we shared an unconditional, life-long bond. She will be dearly missed and the memories of our times together will be treasured. RIP Joyce. We love you!!!
