Not sure what to say?

Very sorry to hear of her passing.

Such a loss- farewell Apricot Lady.

Barbara Sanford, NARFE

To Joyce's family - my deepest sympathy in your loss.
Joyce was a remarkable woman. She was kind, generous, enthusiastic,
intelligent and energetic. I'll never forget the day I first met her around
1993 when she was on the Stanislaus County Resource Conservation District Board.
I landed at the airport and was greeted by the Apricot Lady smiling and waving.
We hit it off immediately as she showed me conservation activities in her
District. Many times after that I...

Sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. She led a full and joyful life. The Barfuss's were friends with my parents (Garden Swingers!)AND grandparents (Burney). Bonnie and Judy, you did a great job writing her life story. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Joyce was our wonderful NARFE Chapter 511 Officer and member. We will miss her wonderful smiles, "Chocolate Apricot Lady" gifts and her intelligent wisdom.

I remember your mother and dad visiting our family on the farm in ND. She seemed to be so friendly and took an interest in so many things. We know she will be missed by her family and those who knew her. Our thoughts are with her family today.

We met Joyce and Jim when we joined Garborg Lodge in Modesto back in the '70's. We shared many good times, Norwegian dinners and recipes. Joyce tried, in vain, to teach me how to roll lefse dough the proper way.
Our sincere sympathy goes out to Bonnie and Judy's families in this time of great sorrow.

Our sympathy to Judy and family and Bonnie and family. Joyce was a cousin of mine and yes, we both grew up in ND. I liked her sense of humor, I'll miss her.
