So miss Joyce. She was a dear friend for a long time. we would meet at our coffee group on Fridays. Joyce would show the artwork she was working on. She was wonderful and will be missed.

I met Joyce in 2005 at Papaccino's coffee shop in Burlingame, a funky but charming place. My memory of our first encounter was her asking if she could borrow the Living section of my Oregonian, and so began an almost daily meeting which grew to include several others and lasted even beyond the ultimate closing of Papaccino's and its succeeding incarnations at that location. Joyce became a close friend. She loved to laugh and took life as it came, with interest and a bit of humor. I miss her,...
