Rest in peace Joyce. You can play golf in heaven with the angels now. Thank you for caring about our military and making people's dreams come true.

Dear Kathy and Griffin family,
I'm so very sorry for the loss of your dear sister, Joyce. It has been so nice to be connected with Joyce over Facebook and the St.Bernardines alumni page... We hope she will live forever in our hearts and memories. My sympathies go out to your mother and brother and especially you who I remember fondly from math class...Rest in peace and love dear Joyce.

Joyce had a strong sense of justice and fairness. "Really?"; "that's just crazy"; or "that's not right" were phrases she'd use to set up her observation of a situation. We counted on her to hear us out and sum up an event. She judged lightly and encouraged vehemently. She could always make you laugh about something, and would cry with you if you needed it. She brought curiosity with her into every conversation, and loved to explore places and gain new knowledge. I am a better person for befriending Joyce. I will miss her in this world. Life is the only party from which Joyce left too soon. Love ya' Joyce and condolences to the family. Kathleen
