Was so shocked to hear of Joyce' passing so soon after Fred'. They were 2 very special people and will be surely missed by all that were lucky enough to have known them. Joyce was a volunteer for me at the Red Cross in Kalamazoo for several years and also a quilt guild friend. I shall miss her very much!!!

My Uncle Fred and Aunt Joyce went within 2 months of each other, a tribute to their closeness. I have fond memories of them both, especially from my years growing up in Kalamazoo. My heart goes out to my cousins Becky, Gary, Beth, and Greg.

I am devastated by the news. I am Frank LaLone son of Fern (Megge) Hahn Fred's cousin. I was unaware that Fred had died. He and Joyce were so very kind to me. In 1964 I was very ill and Fred and Joyce took me under their wings until my recovery. Fred and I had a mutual interest in flying and I would often wave at him in Coldwater when he would park the plane at the fly in restaurant as I drove by in the gas tanker.
