Landess Funeral Home, Inc. - Campbell Obituary

Joyce Loetta (Lizenbee) Hall, daughter of Audrey Wilson and Herman Lizenbee, went to be with her Lord on November 20, 2021. She passed away peacefully at her home in Memphis, TN. Joyce and her husband of 29 years, Pete Hall, moved their family from Holcomb, MO to Memphis, TN in 1972. Joyce retired from McKesson Pharmaceutical Distribution after 15 years of employment. She spent the last 19 years of her life holding her most treasured title as “Granny.”

Joyce was a faithful member of Bellevue Baptist Church. She loved spending her Sunday mornings going to services, joining her sweet friends in her Bible fellowship class, and enjoying an afternoon lunch with her family. She also loved spending time with the Lord and in His Word at her kitchen table. Joyce loved the Lord, her children and her grandchildren. We know we will see her again in Heaven, until that day Granny will be dearly missed.

Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 29 years, Pete Hall; their children Kim Hall and Jimmy (Deana) Hall and her precious grandchildren Sydney and Hudson. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Speer; sisters in law Charlotte Lizenbee and Vicky Haywood Allen; nieces Camille Lizenbee-Greider, Melody Lizenbee-Manley, Mona Cavaness; nephew Doug Speer; and her many great nephews and nieces. She will also be missed by the women from her Bellevue Sunday School class who share in her great love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Joyce has been reunited in Heaven with loved ones who have gone before her. She has joined her daughter, Tina Renee Hall, who went to be with our Lord at birth; her mother Audrey Wilson; and her brothers Donald James Summers and Kenneth Lizenbee. We celebrate the promise and comfort God gives us in this eternal reunion.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”    John 11:25

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell with funeral service beginning at 2 p.m., with Reverend Darren Baker officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.

Not sure what to say?

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. Joyce touched the lives of many in such a positive and caring way. For me Joyce and I had so much history and throughout our friendship she was always there for me when I needed her. We would laugh over wonderful memories and we had so many. We also shared challenges in our lives. I will forever cherish the beautiful person she was and feel so lucky to have had her in my life.

Although she was beautiful, the best thing about our Aunt Joyce was that she was fun! We loved seeing her big smile when we came home from wherever our dad was stationed in the Army. She and my Uncle Pete always made us feel welcome, even though they didn't see us for years at a time. We will always remember her contagious laughter and for the love she had for her children, Kim and Jimmy. We are sending them, and all of those who loved her, our sincerest condolences and wishes for peace...

Joyce - My sister in the Lord ..... was a joy to be around and a friend from Agape Sunday School class. I will surely miss her and her happy fun loving spirit. It's a comfort to know she will now be happy in Jesus' presence.

I worked with Joyce at McKesson and loved her like a mother. We would have talks about family, work and the Lord. She loved her family very much and was on top of the world when Sydney was born. I know she loved her church and the Lord. May God bless and comfort the family during this time and I am so sorry for your loss.

Beverly, so sorry to read of Joyce's passing. You know all too well how difficult the loss of a sibling is. I remember she almost always had a big smile and lots of energy. My you have peace as you mourn your dear sister.

Dear Joyce, I treasure our friendship of many years. I did not get to see you much since moving to Charleston, but I thought of you often. You were a beautiful, Christian lady and you will be missed. My love and prayers are with the family during these difficult days.
