My name is Darlene .I am from Wisconsin. I was thinking about my life and your parents came to my mind . I googled Roger and then Joyce . Sad to see this obituary.I was a " mothers helper " for Jill and Jan in the summers of 1956 and 1957.I also spent my Christmas vacation with your family. I have fond memories of the time with you family . Joyce treated me like family. She was a beautiful kind lady . I feel sad that I didn´t see this before she passed. Joyce played a positive role in my life...

One of the nicest people one could ever hope to know. Here was a very unique, genuine and generous individual. Her engaging smile was a window to who she was and with intelligence and passion she spoke her mind freely where others might not. I will miss this dear woman for many reasons (humor comes to mind) but above all, it was her courage and how she stood for what she believed in that I admire the most. She was lovely.

My deepest regrets for Roger.You were so dedicated to and motivated by each other. I know the sorrow is profound.

What an inspiration she was! And beautiful too. She sounds just remarkable. Thinking of you as you deal with this loss and cherish your memories of her. Sending love and compassion.
