I will miss Joyce very much. She always presented a warm and caring persona, taking time to listen and offering a spark of humor on many occasions.
Her memory of events and people was outstanding. So colorful, funny and observing distinct personalities I never knew.
She managed to raise three very 'individual' children and supported them in everything they choose to do.
I wish her family well and know they will have happy warm memories of her.

Joyce could tell many stories of her early life in Washington, DC. She talked about the beauty of the city when she first arrived from snowy Wisconsin to a warm and flower covered city, especially the cherry blossoms. Like being in paradise.
She would talk about the difficulty finding a "room" to live in as apartments were not plentiful. Meals were eaten in a cafeteria and "food not allowed in the "room". Perhaps that is why she was always so thin.
The office was in a hot stuffy...
