My very deepest sympathies to you and your entire family at your time of sorrow. I am glad that your mother did not have to suffer any longer. Her accomplishments are great and you all should be very proud.

Stetson and family, I am so sorry to hear or Joyce's death. The years we worked together at San Jose are among my happiest memories, and the time I spent in her classroom provided extrodinary insight into her abilities as a teacher. Every time I saw Joyce in the following years she remained the same kind and thoughtful person I had known at San Jose. I will always remember her with fondness and smiles. I am sorry we are unable to be with you and the family on Saturday.
