WEST SPRINGFIELD Joyce E. (Hervieux) LaBranche, 82, of Bridle Path Road died Wednesday with family by her side. Joyce was born in Springfield and has lived in West Springfield most of her life. She retired as the Restaurant Manager of the Colony Club in Springfield where she was employed for many years. Her husband Norman A. LaBranche died in 1983, and a son John died in 2011. She leaves her children Jeffery and his wife Karen, Judy Rettura and husband Vincenzo, Jamie LaBranche, and Joe LaBranche and Jill, her brother Donald Hervieux; and her eight grandchildren Joel, Jake ,Vinnie, Alex, Jack, Chandler , Kelsey and Nicolas - who will miss her dearly. Joyce was the leader of her family, always focused on the positive. She approached every day as a new chance to have some fun, and was always the focal point of family events and holidays. She was known by her grandkids as the funniest person we know . Joyce loved her Neil Diamond concerts, Red Sox, boxes of wine, the letter J, parties on the deck, Tiger on Sundays, and beautiful grand kids. She had an exceptionally quick wit, and was the kindest most generous person any of us could know. She was a friend to many, and an inspiration to all. Joyce will be sadly missed by her family, but will be remembered every day in the legacy of family that she leaves us. Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday December 15 from 4:00 7:00pm. A private funeral will be held with burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Not sure what to say?

To the LaBranche Family
I was saddened to hear of Joyce's passing and also not knowing in time to pay my respects to a wonderful lady. I had the pleasure of being her line cook at the Spfld Marriott for 5 years. I still hear that beautiful high laugh of hers even when we were in the "weeds". And how she loved her Normie, I love you Joycee!

Joe-
