Not sure what to say?

I met John and Penny while vacationing in Acapulco and became friends. They invited me to visit then at their home in Golden Colorado and they visited me in Washington, DC. This Christian experience knowing them and spending time with them was God sent.

The quality in Penny I was always struck by was her warmth. She seemed to genuinely care about everyone she met. I always felt enveloped by warmth and kindness when I was near her. And, of course, her founding of and involvement with Carmel is a testament to her caring nature and belief in the goodness of people. She will be missed!

Penny had a way of making things fun...a great person, wonderful lady and caring friend. I used to think Penny is like the mom I wanted. Thank you Penny for touching my life. Special thoughts and prayers to the Lowell family, and hugs to Aurora and Craig.

"She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me"

When I think of Penny, I think of a welcoming home and a warm smile. I was just a little girl when I met the Lowells. I thought they were wonderful, not only because they loved horses, but because they were interested in you as a person. My very first pony, a beautiful little Welsh pony we bought from their barn. I thought someday, I would love to have a horse farm like theirs and I eventually did, and thought of them often. I visited with my parents, Herb and Virginia, and my husband...

Penny was one of the kindest, wisest, most thoughtful person I've ever known.
Seashells remind us that every passing life leaves something beautiful behind. May beauty live on in your memories and bring you peace.I hope to one day have the courage Penny had towards the end of her life. I feel blessed to have known her for so long.

I have so many wonderful thoughts of Penny and John while living in Colorado in my younger years.
She was like a second mother to me. She praised me when I did well and took me under her wing with I went a stray. No matter how I was, she always loved me. I know that one day we will meet again. I look forward to seeing her loving smile once again and feeling her wing around me. I and all of the Macey Family are better people for having had her touch our lives.

With our love,

What a dear lady. The Macey family has fond memories of Penny through the years. She will be missed but we all await that glorious day when we will be reunited with her and other loved ones who have gone on to prepare the way. Prayers and love and peace be with you. Pat Macey-Day

You were the best Mom I could have ever wanted or hoped for. You were the stabalizing factor in our family. You always put your children before your own needs. I will miss you and Dad every day of my life. You were simply the best and I am so glad I was adopted and adored by John and Penny Lowell! It was my priviledge to grow up as your son............bye for now, but I will see you soon, in the Lord's time and in his House!

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever. She was one lady myself and my family sure loved getting to know. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Penny's family.
