Not sure what to say?

"Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence him. With them alone he shares the secrets of his promises." Psalm 25:14
Thank you Aunt Joyce for the quiet ways you exhibited your faith and reverence for God. And for letting me feed the cats and for showing me which ones were the wild ones and which ones I could pet when I was a wee lad. I have a difficult time remembering a time when you were not in the kitchen, especially when we were visiting. May your family know you are...

Joyce and my sister, Janet, were very close from the time they were young. Once again I believe they are together. It is a shame that both had to suffer at the end of their life but we will never forget them.

Like any sister, our mom and Aunt Joyce were always together with their families. We frequently lived together with Wendell and Eric as cousins/brothers. There are just too many memories to list here, but we all know Aunt Joyce loved and enjoyed her family/extended family. Having been born on her birthday, I felt a special connection to her, regardless of distance. (She once drove with me on a return trip to Colorado, just to be sure I was safe) I miss her, but am relieved that she no...

Aunt Joyce,Aunt Joyce,Aunt Joyce...you know some people enter your life and they just pass right through-no real memories or memorable events- they just skip on by......not Aunt Joyce. When everyone else went to calling me Ed..only Joyce could call me Skeeter. It was her determined, quiet and dependable way-she always commanded a quiet respect...and love. Yeah...she got me hooked on cherry pies, the potato salad..and those darn brownies. But, more than anything,I could always depend on her to...

Aunt Joyce was very special to my family as she lived with us when we were children. I remember loving to dress up in her clothes as she had beautiful clothing. When she dated Uncle Rudy we got to go along with them to the drive in movies.
Aunt Joyce suffered her last few years with Huntington's Disease. I also would say if you would like to do something in memory of Aunt Joyce please
send a donation to the Huntington's Disease Society, 919 Westfall Road, Rochester, New York ...

Well, didn't Ed go right out and buy a cherry pie...it won't be as good though. Joyce wasn't even my aunt, but I greave for her as if she was. She loved all of us SO much! We stayed with her for a family reunion. Lordy, the food! And, of course, two cherry pies for Skeeter...potato salad for me. I have only one aunt left. She doesn't make pie.
Kay and family, I loved her and know you will miss her.
To heck with the rest in peace stuff...party on down, Aunt Joyce!

My childhood memories are of the family get togethers, spending the summers with Eric and Wendell, and the time Aunt Joyce and Uncle Rudy took me to the fireworks. Who could forget Aunt Joyce's blonde brownies or her potato salad! She was always a giving, caring soul and will be missed.

Those close to her know that Huntington's disease took over her last few years. If you are so inclined, donations can be made to the Huntington's Disease Society,919 Westfall Rd. Rochester,NY ...

Dear Kathryn and all the Maki family. I'm thankful that Joyce is now resting quietly and peacefully in the arms of Jesus. I knew Joyce during my growing-up years at People's Baptist, and enjoyed several visits with her at McGraw House. May God bless you all during this time of loss. Bonnie (Everhart) Wilhelm

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Joyce was one of the kindest, most caring people I've ever met. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
