Not sure what to say?

I was given Dr.McDougall's book during my internship. I found her to be so readable, and went back to her many times to clarify clinical conundrums along the way, my condolences, and prayers to her family and friends. MB

My thoughts are with Joyce Mcdougall's family at this sad time; I am sorry for their loss. she will be missed by the therapist community and her friends; here and through out the United States and in Europe.
Her ideas were ahead of her time

The beautiful and brilliant, Joyce McDougall was an exceptional character who electrified her psychoanalytic audiences and inspired all those around her. Her teachings were a plea for humanism, tolerance, understanding and compassion. She taught that even if one had a large personality, one could use oneself fully as an analyst without intruding or getting in the patient's way. Mostly, I will remember her good friendship, her profound generosity, constant encouragement, enthusiasm, and love....

A marvellous friend

Joyce McDougall was unique. She will be remembered as a great analyst but also as a great character.
My condolences to the McDougall family.
