Joyce Ellen Roberts

Joyce was a friend and a great inspiration to me. It is sad to see so many great midwifery leaders pass. While no one can fill Joyce´s shoes, I am sustained knowing that others are rising up to take up the fight for women´s health.

I will always remember how Joyce, and her sister, Judy, memorized scripture for Cheyenne´s YFC quiz team. I always marveled at their ability, but more than that, I know that the many books they memorized would remain with them and continue to bless and guide them. I send my sympathy to her family and have prayed for them. Mary Lou

So sorry to hear of your loss. We had the privilege of knowing Joyce and serving together in the LIFT Ministry (Living in Faith Together) when she was attending Grace Community Church. Joyce was a servant of God who used her spiritual gifts to serve the body of Christ. May the Spirit of God comfort you in knowing Joyce is safely home with her Savior and reunited with loved ones who have gone on before.

Joyce Roberts was an amazing nurse-midwife & mentor

Joyce was one of the most important teachers and mentors in my life. She was my teacher at The University of Colorado and later we were coauthors several times as part of her research program. Before that while I was putting in applications to go to midwifery school, Joyce came to be a speaker at the University of Southern Maine, and I had the fun of teaching her how to eat a whole lobster. I will miss her very much.

Joyce was a wonderful mentor and a good friend. I am sorry to hear about her death.
