So very sad to hear of Joyce's passing. She was an amazing woman and, to me, a friend, mentor and boss, and helped shape my future. She took a chance and made a raw, high school kid the Sports Editor of The Wethersfield Post, starting me on a career of writing, journalism and public relations. It was an honor to know her.
