Joyce Smedley

Dr. Smedley was a pivotal figure in my educational journey. I came to Millersville to study and earn my degree in counseling. Along the way I had the opportunity to be a grad assistant in the department. During those years, Dr. Smedley was encouraging and provocative, urging me to go deeper and strive for excellence in my studies, my career and my life. She will always remain one of my favorite educators.

Heartfelt condolences to the family of Dr. Smedley. I sincerely express my genuine gratitude for the honor and privilege of having Dr. Smedley as my professor as I attained a Masters in Counselor Education. She will be remembered as a genuine inspiration to me and so many students through the years..
