As a young girl, Aunt Joyce had a special influence on me, especially since I was given her middle name. My top 2 memories of her is how she hosted so many family meals. The food was always wonderful and her hospitality genuine. It was always a fun experience. The other memory is the summer she let me go with her to the Bass Orchards to pick cherries so I could earn money for more school clothes. I never knew making money could be so much fun! Hard to say goodbye to someone you've known and cared about so long, but eventually it happens to us all either sooner or hopefully later. Joyce if she had a fault it was being too nice and in the 40 years I knew her I don't remember her being angry even with me which was a miracle in itself. We golfed, camped , swam ,boated traveled to Arizona and she made the best home made pizza in the world. Joyce I will always miss you and the fun times we had together catching bull head off dock and all the swims with grampa big Jim and bomb fires out back but most of all I will never forget the lightening storm we got caught in while fishing in the little red boat together R.I.P. Joyce was a great mother-in-law, golf buddy, fellow camper and shroomer,great cook for even me the fussiset of eaters, she'll be missed and always remembered!
