Joyce THACKERY

I remember Joyce as a tough, fair, and all around excellent teacher for the kids. I also remember her as a kind and positive person at church. She always made me feel like she was happy to see me. Excuse the grammar, but that ain’t nothing. Sending condolences to her beloved family.

Matt and Sam, I remember your mom more from church then from school. She was always so kind, and I believe she helped with the food at our wedding. She was always so proud of both of you. I know, by reputation, what a great teacher she was. She will be missed, but I know she's waiting a long time to be with your dad in a glorious heaven. We're thinking of you. Scott and Shari Powell

I am so heartbroken. Mrs Thackery was my ultimate favorite teacher and she made a huge impact in my life in 5th grade. Over the years we have exchanged Christmas cards to stay in touch. I will always treasure her kind words and encouragement. She was an amazing lady! Praying for the entire family ! So sorry for your loss!
