Rittman - Joyce J. West, 69, of Rittman died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at Medina General Hospital.

She was born on December 25, 1936 in Bellaire, OH to Robert and Katherine (Kehr) Milliken and lived in Rittman since 1955. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Zion Church of Christ in Sterling.

She married, Jerrold W. West on February 18, 1955 and he survives. Also surviving are sons, Jerrold (Karen) West, Jr. of Rittman, and Jonathon (Angela) West of Orrville; daughter, Jennifer (Jay) Sturgis of Ashland; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Ramsey of Shadyside, OH, Betty Bertrand of Moundsville, WV, Janet Bagley of Spring Green, WI, and Susan Vinskovich of Ashland, OH. A daughter, Katherine Ruth West, and a son, Robert West, died previously.

Services for the family will be held at Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman with Jerry Wyant III officiating. Burial of her cremains will be at a later date in Holly Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport, Belmont County. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 1815 W. Market St., Suite #108, Akron, OH 44313.
