Dear Family
My memories from Juan Carlos are multiple. A great friend. a trusted teacher , a Military Doctor with a heart of old, a great father , a loyal husband and many many more qualities.

Dear carolyn, So sorry to hear the news, of your loss of your Husband.May God bless you all at this time. Joyce tappen

Juan was a staunch friend, a great surgeon and a compassionate educator. More than anyone we know, because he lived life to the hilt, we think that he would agree with Tennyson.
"Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell
When I embark."
It's going to be very hard to live in a world that does not include Juan d'Avis. Jack and Joann Major

Juan was part of our family with a different last name. He made every event a blast, spoke at my wedding, helped save my mother's life and was of the funniest, coolest most genuine guys ever. If he saw someone standing alone at a party he'd go out of his way to make them feel welcome. He had an amazing laugh and boundless energy.
We can't think of the world without him in it but know he continues in a different form. Thanks for gracing us with your presence and Godspeed, Dr. D'Avis....

Having been a friend of Juan Carlos's since childhood, I wish to express my solidarity to his family's sorrow for having lost their beloved father, brother, grandfather... May he rest in peace.

Our deepest sympathies to all of the d'Avis family. May the memories of many years of a life well lived sustain you through the difficult times. Kevin and Ginny Barry
