Juan Garcia

Juan Garcia, 79, of Wichita Falls passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2020.

A Rosary will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Vigil service on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Wichita Falls with Rev. Raul Martinez Lopez, celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wichita Falls under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Due to the Covid-19 virus, mask will be required at the funeral home and at the church. Please be considerate of others.

Juan was born February 8, 1941 to the late Casimiro and Francisca (Vasquez) Garcia in Manuel Doblado, GTO, Mexico. Juan came to the United States to provide a better life for himself and his family. Family was the most important thing to him. Through a mutual family member, Juan met Maria Rosales and the couple married in 1979 and spent the next 40 years together. They were members of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Juan worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for many years until he retired. He loved to grill, read his bible and even played a little poker now and then. Juan loved his family and spending family time, especially being “TaTa” to the grandchildren. He will be missed by many family and friends.

Along with his parents, Juan was preceded in death by a sister Celia.

Juan survived by his wife Maria; son Felipe Garcia and Brenda; daughter Adela Garcia and Omar; eight grandchildren: Abraham, Myranda, Omar Jr., Anahi, Araceli, Fabian, Julissa and Jackie; sister Alejandra; five brothers: Felipe, Manuel, Rosalio, Antonio and Nacario; and numerous other family members.
