Not sure what to say?

I think he is the same Dr. Garro who did my tonsillectomy at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in 1972 when I was 16, not sure what he was doing there then. He did it using local anesthesia, with me sitting up, so I wouldn't swallow a lot of blood under anesthesia and then have to go through throwing it up later. I thought that was pretty cool. He was very nice. I asked him if I could see my tonsils once they were out, and he let me. My condolences to all who loved him. It sounds like he...

My wishes of prayer and blessings extended to the loved ones of Dr. Garro. I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Garro served as ENT physician to me and my family; his capacity for care, kindness, and professionalism in his practice was unmatched. I am so grateful to him and saddened to hear of his loss. He was an incredible human being who will be missed by this patient. warmest sympathy, Monica Warren-Jones

My heart is broken. I was a movie star in his operating room all over the world! He used it in his teaching. He saved my life. I love this man and his wife Martha.

Dear Martha and Family: My deepest sympathies to you and your family. For all the years Dr. Garro was my ENT, he was so much more. I considered him a friend. Over the years, though luckily not too often, Dr. Garro and you were welcoming and kind. He and I laughed and shared a bond of knowing and a great sense of joy. I always left his treatment room with a...

So sorry to hear of Dr. Garro's passing. I was a nurse in the OR at WHC. Even though I did not work much with Dr. Garro, I would often speak with him in POD 1 as he was waiting for his cases to begin. I appreciated the fact that I could speak in my imperfect Spanish with him. May God grant him rest in a place of comfort, light and joy, where there is no pain, sorrow or mourning. June Schmitz
