I was fortunate to be able to work with Dr Sosa for several years. He was a deeply intelligent and empathetic physician with a great sense of humor. He worked at 110% capacity into his 70´s and remained aware of what was happening in the world. I´ll miss our conversations and his insight. He was like a second father to me.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Juan Sosa's family. I have known Juan thirty years sharing the same office address on Williams Street. We also worked for a time at Middlesex Hospital North seven. In our off times, we socialized around a good meal and French wine while we practiced each other's native language, French and Spanish. I would like to comment on my 30-40 year relationship with Juan. I met Juan in 1971 in our role as psychiatrists in Middletown. We covered for each other as private practitioners for many decades. We enjoyed many good times over the years, including food, wine and French and Spanish speaking get-togethers for around 20 years.
