Manny positively impacted everyone who was fortunate enough to get to know him in any capacity. He certainly helped me through some difficult situations over the years in part with his wisdom, as well as with his wonderful sense of humor. He was a very smart, creative, dependable, classy, modest and empathetic man, and a man with GREAT integrity! He will be sorely missed. My thoughts go to his family at this most difficult time. I have known Manny over the decade or more that I have worked for the Alameda County Public Health Department. He was always cordial, compassionate, with great insight. I am sorry that he did not have an opportunity to fully enjoy the retirement that he so richly deserved. I offer my deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
