Not sure what to say?

16 years later and I'm still mourning for you. Juan's kids are older at this point than he was when I had him in class. I remember the energy he brought to our class and the loyalty he showed his friends. We were all better for knowing him. He is not forgotten.

My deepest condolescences to Juan's family. I was Juan's middle school counselor. When he was in high school he came over for my assistance, that was the last time I saw him. Years later he emailed me from Iraq, to thank me for all the good I do with kids. Often counselors don't get feedback from past students, so it was greatly appreciated and made my week. His memory will live on with that considerate thank you and wonderful smile. Special sympathies to Randy Martus, the love you had for...

I feel fortunate to have known Juan and to have been Juan's 6th grade English teacher at Tomah Middle School. I am a better person having known him. Our common bond now is the loss we feel in his absence. May he rest in peace, and may all of us find peace and comfort in our hearts in the wonderful memories we have of him.

Blessings to his family,

I had Juan in sixth grade when he came to Tomah. Just the thought of him brought a smile - he was kind and polite, and had just that little bit of humor that we all appreciated after some days here at school. He was a wonderful young man! I thank him for serving our country and he will be remembered always - When I think of him there will still be that little smile on my face, and now an eye up to heaven, too.

Juan was an inspirational young man. He was fun to be around and had a sensitivity beyond his years. I can still picture him in his red jersey and football gear and that jet black hair and great smile. He was also proud of the work his dad did in the military and with the Right Step program and it was obvious that Juan would follow in dad's footsteps someday!

My deepest sympathy to Juan's family. I was his 8th grade English teacher and he made me laugh every day. I am so very , very sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Juan, rest in peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Juan at the Tomah Middle School; I was an art teacher at the school. Juan was a light in our lives and will be thought of regularly and missed deeply.

My deepest regrets and sypmathy to all of you. My first year teaching I had Juan in German. He was in 8th grade at the time. He was always making the class laugh....man was he funny! Thinking of him brings a smile to my face. I hope that it comforts you to know how many people he touched during his life. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. God bless you.
