Frye Chapel & Mortuary of Blythe - Blythe Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father Juan Rodriguez, who went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 7, 2022 at the age of 78.

Juan will be lovingly remembered by his children:  Johnny (Angelica) Rodriguez, Richard (Paula) Rodríguez, Alice (Jerie) Rios, and Guadalupe Rodriguez; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; 7 brothers and sisters, as well as numerous relative and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Emilia Rodriguez, of 43 years; Mother, Esperanza Renteria, mother and father-in-law Luis and Avelina Marin; great grandson Dedrik Nathan Cunha and niece Nora Tover.

Juan met the love of his life, Emilia Marin, while attending Gadsden High School in Anthony, New Mexico in 1964. They would later be married on May 28, 1965 in Anthony, New Mexico.  Soon after being married they would move to Blythe. CA. where they would go on to have four children together.  They were married for 43 years until the passing of our mother in 2008.

After moving to Blythe in the mid 60's, Juan would make Blythe his home until his passing.  He was a hard worker and worked in agriculture for many years for Noroian Farms.  He also worked many years for Imperial Hardware Store as a delivery driver.

Even though he worked hard 6 days a week, on his only day off he would still make time to spend with his kids, visiting family, spending the day out at the desert exploring and grilling wherever we were.  He loved taking the family out fishing and walnut picking at the local walnut trees in Blythe.  He devoted his life to working hard to support his family.  He will be deeply missed.  May you rest in God's loving arms Dad.  We love you.

A Visitation Service will be held at Frye Chapel and Mortuary on May 26, 2022 from 5 - 8 pm.  A Funeral Service will be held on May 27, 2022 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary.

Not sure what to say?

Juan was my neighbor since 2005 when I bought the house next door. I did not live in Blythe full time but when I was I enjoyed my conversations with him. When I would leave town, Juan would always watch my house and made sure my Trash bins were out every Friday. I will miss not seeing him next door when in town!
My sincere condolences to his family.

Dad, I don’t know how to say goodbye. Im broken inside and feel so empty. As long as I can remember, you have always been there for us. It’s gonna be hard not getting to talk on the phone like we did. As parents we provide for our families the best we can. And you did your best. I’m so glad that you had a chance to see your granddaughter “Brittney” just 2 weeks before. “May you Rest In Peace “ I hope that you were proud of us as your children. I love you Dad
...

I have no words to express the sadness I feel from your passing. And although I carry a broken heart because I didn't get a chance to say goodbye, please know you were always in my thoughts and prayers. Until we meet again dad may you rest in peace. I love you!!
" I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." John 16:33

My deepest condolences to my cousins in the passing of their father. He will now be with my Tia Emilia who he loved. I wish I can say that the grief goes away with time but I think you know that it is always there. Our parents are one of the most important persons in our lives so we will always carry them with us in our hearts and memories. Rest In Peace Tio Johnny
