For most people, he was Lali, but to me he was Juan. He was my first boss and the person who encouraged me to aspire to do more and not to be limited in my thinking. He was a gentle man with a dry sense of humour and extremely cultured. Even after he went to Buenos Aires, we stayed in touch and I looked forward to his posts on Facebook and his annual Christmas/New Year card that would always be hand printed lithograph. We still can't believe that He is gone. I adored Lali and I will miss him so much. I am a lucky young printer who could work with a great artist, a great man. Lali Stekelman was an exceptional man, charming and full of colour and He had the greatest sense of humor I ever seen. It was a pleasure for me to collaborate in his prints and to share and to spend time talking about life with him. We will miss him deeply.
