My good friend Juan you will be deeply missed.

I worked with Juan at the LBDC back in the late 1990's. I ran in to him periodically in the passing years. Whenever we would run into each other, we picked up where we left off. Juan was a wonderful person. I remember him sitting in on conga with one of my bands. He loved to play. Juan reached out to me several weeks ago, out of the blue. We were going to try to get together. I should have called... People like Juan are once in a lifetime finds. I am so sorry for your loss.

Juan Vega was a special man. He was a loyal family member, a loyal worker and a loyal member of the NY Capital Region Latino Dollars For Scholars. He and his sister Maritza were a comedy team that should have taken their talent for making us laugh at our meetings, on the road! He will be missed and our LDFS meetings will not be the same without him! Keep playing those congas and playing your beloved basketball in that team in the heavenly skies. Rest in peace mi hermano Juan and Maritza - I'm...

Juan will be missed, he was a great guy, my deepest condolences and prayers to his family....Que Dios lo tenga en
eterno descanso

Dear Vega family,

Juan is missed at work, really missed. He was one of the good guys in life. I always enjoyed the give and take of conversations with Juan. Even when I couldn't understand what he was saying it was fun.

My sincerest regards and sympathies,

Bart Mullen
